Beautiful Feet?

Beautiful are the feet of them… (Romans 10:15)

Feet? Beautiful?

The Word of God often stops us in our tracks…and this one quite literally does the same.

Beautiful feet?

The achy and sore feet of Joseph, who was fastened with iron?
Psalms 105:18 – Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

The sore and dirty feet of those apostles who trekked through dirt and grime, with simple sandals on their feet? Matthew 10:14 – And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

The bloodied and wounded feet of Christ as He was nailed to a cross? Psalms 22:6 – For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Those feet were beautiful–the ones that carried the Good News?

God seeth not as man seeth.

The battered and tired feet of a mother rocking her child to sleep…

The overworked and swollen feet of the husband who provides for his family and grows them in God’s Word…

The missionary that travels daily to share the Good News with people he doesn’t even know…

The preacher who stands for hours each Sunday to share God’s truths after working all week…

Those feet are beautiful!

Broken. Battered. Bruised. Callused. Swollen. Bloodied. Dirty. Achy.

If they are walking every day in God’s truths–in God’s amazing and wonderful plans–they are truly the most beautiful!

Rather those feet are of the preacher, teacher, caregiver, or parent…those feet are beautiful that shares God’s Good News! We are all called to share Jesus!

Romans 10:15b …as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Jesus loves you!
For Jesus first loved me… ❤
